Vietnam Airlines prepares to replace its entire wide-body fleet
On March 9, Vietnam Airlines Corporation (VNA) announced that it will receive the two most modern wide-body aircraft in the world, the A350-900 and the Boeing B787-915, in mid-2015, becoming the first airline in Asia to receive these two types of aircraft at the same time.

VNA is implementing a plan to renovate its fleet in a simplified manner, focusing on a few types of new generation aircraft, helping to save fuel and be environmentally friendly. Specifically, it will replace the entire wide-body fleet of 33 aircraft, including 19 Boeing 787s and 14 Airbus A350s, delivered over a period of more than 3 years, from mid-2015 to early 2019. These aircraft will be used on long, transcontinental routes and help exploit to new destinations in Europe, North America, etc.
