A few weeks ago, Tunisia suffered its deadliest terrorist attack in more than a decade.

In recent years, Tunisia has been relatively peaceful compared to other countries in the region, despite being the birthplace of the Arab Spring movement.

However, extremist groups remain active and last month a group of gunmen attacked the Bardo National Museum in the capital Tunis, killing 21 foreign tourists in an attack claimed by the Islamic State (IS) group.

Tunisian authorities are concerned that violence is spilling over from unstable neighboring Libya./.
