Competition for outstanding artillery officers and platoons in training, 2015
(Baonghean.vn) - This morning, June 26th, Military Region 4 held the closing ceremony of the 2015 competition for outstanding artillery officers and platoon training.
TThe competition featured 84 athletes, including exemplary battalion commanders and political commissars from artillery battalions of 3 divisions, Artillery Brigade 16, Battalion 52 - Military Region Staff, 82nd mortar crews, and DKZ militia from the Military Command of 6 provinces.
The athletes competed in two categories: operational planning, regulations, artillery specialization, radio and wired communications, infantry combat techniques, K54 rifle shooting practice (exercise 1), political awareness test, logistics, technical skills, drafting of leadership resolutions on combat missions and reporting resolutions for battalion commanders and political commissars; and practical application of artillery standards 1, 2, 3, 6 and live firing practice (exercise 1 of the 82mm recoilless rifle, exercise 9 of the 82mm mortar) for militia and self-defense gun crews from 6 provinces.
After three days of exciting competition, the organizing committee awarded six first, second, and third place overall trophies, along with 29 certificates of merit and commendations to winning teams and individuals.
This competition provides an opportunity for Military Region 4 to evaluate the results of training and drills of officers and units, serving as a basis for drawing lessons learned and improving the quality of training and combat readiness of the Military Region's artillery forces in the coming years.
