Collision with truck, taxi driver died in cabin

(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Le Van Hoang, a citizen of Quynh Loc commune, who witnessed the accident, said: At about 4:50 p.m. on June 29, at the intersection of Quynh Loc commune's residential road with provincial road km 2+300 Hoang Mai - Dong Hoi (Hoang Mai town), a traffic accident occurred between a truck and a taxi, causing the taxi driver to be trapped in the cabin and die.

After dropping off a passenger, turning from a residential road, in Hamlet 5, Quynh Loc Commune, to the Hoang Mai - Dong Hoi Provincial Road, taxi with license plate 37A-09211 collided with a truck with license plate 36C-02279 (driver's identity unknown) traveling at high speed in the direction of Hoang Mai - Dong Hoi. At the scene, it was shown that the truck hit the side of the car, causing the taxi to spin sideways, fly onto the sidewalk, and the truck crashed into a drainage ditch. The impact was so strong that it crushed the taxi door, trapping the taxi driver in the cabin.

The collision was so strong that the taxi was thrown onto the sidewalk.

People witnessing the accident promptly used a crowbar to take the driver out and transfer him to Quynh Lap hospital for emergency treatment, but the driver died later due to severe injuries.

The deceased driver was identified as Bui Van Hung, born in 1988, residing in Quynh Thien Ward, Hoang Mai Town, driving a taxi for Mai Linh Hoang Mai branch. His family is poor, with a wife and 2 small children.

Upon receiving information about the accident, Hoang Mai City Police promptly arrived at the scene to investigate the cause and remedy the consequences of the accident.
