Vinh City: Lotus Village Singing Festival, Cluster 1

(Baonghean.vn) - As part of the activities celebrating the 23rd Congress of the Vinh City Party Committee, on the evenings of June 27th and 28th, 2015, Vinh City organized the city-level Lotus Village Singing Festival for Cluster 1 in Le Loi Ward.

From the beginning of May until now, wards and communes in Vinh City have organized the Village Lotus Singing Festival at the grassroots level, attracting thousands of amateur performers with high-quality programs and performances. From these outstanding performances, selections were made to participate in the city-level Singing Festival, which was divided into three clusters, with Le Loi Ward, Ha Huy Tap Ward, and Nghi An Commune as the host units.

Cluster 1, held over two evenings on the 27th and 28th, includes the following units: Cửa Nam, Hưng Phúc, Hưng Dũng, Đông Vĩnh, Đội Cung, Quang Trung, Quán Bàu, and Lê Lợi. The remaining two clusters are scheduled to be held in early and mid-July.

The festival is an opportunity for the city's people to participate in creating and enjoying cultural values, preserving the intangible cultural heritage of folk songs and traditional music, and promoting the movement of national unity in building a cultured way of life.
