Livestock breeds produced and traded in Vietnam

According to the Circular recently issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, there are 16 types of livestock allowed to be produced and traded in Vietnam.

On July 1, 2015, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development issued Circular 25/2015/TT-BNNPTNT on the List of livestock breeds produced and traded in Vietnam.

Accordingly, there are 16 types of livestock: Horse, Cow, Buffalo, Pig, Goat, Sheep, Chicken, Duck, Swan, Geese, Rabbit, Pigeon, Quail, Ostrich, Bee and Silkworm.

This Circular replaces Circular No. 01/2010/TT-BNNPTNT dated January 7, 2010 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development promulgating the "List of additional livestock breeds permitted for production and business"; Circular No. 33/2010/TT-BNNPTNT dated June 22, 2010 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development promulgating the "List of additional livestock breeds permitted for production and business"; Circular No. 58/2011/TT-BNNPTNT dated August 24, 2011 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development promulgating the "List of additional livestock breeds permitted for production and business in Vietnam"; Circular No. 49/2012/TT-BNNPTNT dated September 26, 2012 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development promulgating the "List of additional livestock breeds permitted for production and business"; Circular No. 18/2013/TT-BNNPTNT dated March 14, 2013 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development promulgating the "List of additional livestock breeds permitted for production and business in Vietnam"; Circular No. 18/2014/TT-BNNPTNT dated June 23, 2014 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development promulgating the List of additional livestock breeds permitted for production and business;

At the same time, Decision No. 67/2005/QD-BNN dated October 31, 2005 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development promulgating the List of livestock breeds permitted for production and business is abolished; Decision No. 42/2007/QD-BNN dated May 16, 2007 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development adding livestock breeds to the List of livestock breeds permitted for production and business attached to Decision 67/2005/QD-BNN; Decision No. 3205/QD-BNN-CN dated October 17, 2008 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on adding the list of livestock breeds permitted for production and business; Decision No. 4004/QD-BNN-CN dated December 16, 2008 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on adding the list of livestock breeds permitted for production and business; Decision No. 2074/QD-BNN-CN dated July 23, 2009 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on supplementing the list of livestock breeds permitted for production and business in Vietnam.

This Circular takes effect from August 14, 2015.
