6 morning habits that are harmful to your health
Drinking tea, coffee, not brushing teeth, eating too little breakfast or walking barefoot are unhealthy morning habits that many people often have.
According to Boldsky, every time you turn off the alarm and go back to sleep, you reduce the quality of your sleep and ruin your morning exercise routine. This can make you tired, not have time to eat breakfast, exercise, and even be late for work.
Check phone, email
Don’t check your phone or email as soon as you wake up, as this will only add to your stress levels. Take some time to relax in the morning to recharge before you start a hard day’s work.
Drink coffee, tea
Since your stomach is acidic in the morning, you should consume alkaline foods to balance your nutrition. Meanwhile, tea or coffee will increase the acidity in your stomach, creating excess energy, making you feel irritated. A cup of warm lemon water is the most ideal choice in the early morning.

No breakfast or too little
After a good night's sleep, the nutrients in the body have been completely consumed. If you do not eat breakfast, blood sugar continues to decrease, leading to hypoglycemia, making the body tired, weak limbs, and the brain lack of energy. Therefore, you should spend at least 15 minutes every morning to supplement nutrients to help the body have enough energy needed for the whole day.
In addition, eating too little breakfast also has a great impact on health. It causes the stomach to be stimulated but does not receive enough food. This makes you hungry faster, leading to overeating at lunch, which is not good for the stomach as well as body shape and weight.
To keep your stomach healthy, it is best to drink plenty of water and then eat breakfast 30 minutes later. Sit up straight and finish your breakfast before going to work.
Go barefoot
Many people have the habit of walking barefoot on the floor as soon as they get out of bed. This is not good for health. In the morning, the feet have not yet adapted to the outside temperature, so walking barefoot on the floor can easily cause cold, stomachache, and arthritis.
Don't brush your teeth
After a long sleep, the oral cavity contains a lot of plaque, which combines with calcium and salt in saliva to form stains containing a lot of fungi and bacteria. Brushing your teeth will prevent bacteria from growing and developing, causing dangerous oral diseases. Dentists recommend brushing your teeth about 30 minutes before breakfast.
