Exchange of working experiences between Hanoi and Nghe An Provincial People's Committees

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 12 in Vinh City, the Standing Committee of the Catholic Solidarity Committee of Nghe An Province held a meeting to exchange work experiences with the Catholic Solidarity Committee of Hanoi City.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Van Nga, Deputy Head of the Ethnic and Religious Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City; Mr. Nguyen Van Huy, Provincial Party Committee Member, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An Province; Priest Duong Phu Oanh, Standing Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Committee of Hanoi City; Priest Nguyen Dang Dien, Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Committee of Nghe An Province, along with delegates of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Committees of the two units and representatives of departments and branches of the province.

The Catholic community of Nghe An has 50,840 households, nearly 270,000 people, including 11 deaneries, 92 parishes and 360 parishes, accounting for over 8% of the province's population.
