(Baonghean.vn) - The 14th session of the Provincial People's Council, 16th term, is a socio-political event attracting the attention of voters throughout the province. Right at the opening ceremony on the morning of July 8th, several delegates shared this with reporters from Baonghean.vn.

* Delegate Vi Xuan Giap (Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council of Con Cuong):We need to proactively respond to natural disasters and provide timely support to severely affected areas.

Đại biểu Vi Văn Giáp trao đổi với phóng viên Báo Nghệ An về sự cần thiết phải có cơ chế hỗ trợ đối với những vùng bị ảnh hưởng nặng nề bởi thiên tai.
Representative Vi Van Giap spoke with a reporter from Nghe An Newspaper about the necessity of having a support mechanism for areas severely affected by natural disasters.

“I agree with the province's report on the socio-economic situation in the first six months of the year. This year, the plan was implemented early and proactively, and all mechanisms were clearly defined. Regarding the socio-economic situation in Con Cuong, the issues of concern to voters focus on the following: firstly, the support policies for ethnic minorities in mountainous areas, especially given the extremely harsh and unpredictable weather conditions that have resulted in almost complete crop losses. Secondly, the fact that many projects remain unfinished due to limited funding means that voters in the district are requesting that relevant departments review and focus on completing these projects.”

* Delegate Nguyen Huy Cuong (Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade – delegate from Dien Chau district):CVoters are closely following and have high expectations for the effectiveness of major projects!

Delegate Nguyen Huy Cuong stated that the socio-economic report of the Provincial People's Committee at the opening session of the meeting highlighted difficulties while also reflecting efforts to overcome them, with some areas showing promising signs.

“I find the report on the socio-economic situation in the first six months of the year to be accurate, reflecting the efforts of the entire province, especially in attracting investment. Voters are interested in the increasing number of investment projects from large corporations with high feasibility coming to Nghe An. These are signals that voters are very interested in and will closely monitor the progress and quality of these projects in the future. The report also clearly and frankly acknowledges the remaining causes, difficulties, and the efforts of the entire political system to overcome these difficulties, creating bright spots and positive signs.”

* Delegate Nguyen Ngoc Nguyen (Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Front - delegate from Nam Dan district):Emphasis should be placed on substance in addressing policy issues.

Delegate Nguyen Ngoc Nguyen (on the left) argued that in resolving outstanding issues regarding policies and benefits for those who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution, utmost attention must be paid to the substance of the matter. It is crucial to avoid situations where those who have truly rendered meritorious service are delayed or not yet receiving their benefits, while those who have received benefits still have many unsatisfactory opinions!

“This session has received attention from many voters, including prominent issues such as how to overcome the severe impact of drought and minimize damage caused by weather; ensuring the purchase of agricultural products after production; the complex developments in drug use, gambling, public order and security, and traffic safety... In particular, issues related to policies supporting those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution, which still have many shortcomings and inadequacies, are of great concern to voters and are expected to be addressed at this meeting. Whether or not the policy implementation is substantive, if not promptly rectified and resolved, will have a significant impact on public opinion...”

* Delegate Vu Thi Thanh Huong (Head of the Mass Mobilization Department of Tan Ky District - delegate from Tan Ky District):There is a need to upgrade and improve the quality of electricity supply and state management of electricity.

Đại biểu Nguyễn Thị Thanh Hương mang theo nhiều ý kiến cử tri băn khoăn về chất lượng cung cấp điện tại địa bàn trung du miền núi.
Representative Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong brought with her many concerns from constituents regarding the quality of electricity supply in the midland and mountainous regions.

“Through interactions with constituents at the grassroots level, it has been observed that in the midland and mountainous regions, many voters are dissatisfied with electricity prices and the quality of electricity supply. In Tan Ky alone, up to one-third of the communes have raised concerns regarding electricity supply and state management. They complain about households being late in paying their bills and having their electricity cut off immediately, while the electricity sector is very slow to address issues such as broken, damaged, or substandard power poles. The operation of oversized and overloaded vehicles is not well controlled. Voters are also concerned about issues such as the use of pesticides that harm the environment, outstanding social insurance debts, and the slow and erroneous issuance of health insurance cards.”

Nghe An Newspaper will continue to update information about the session!
