Witnesses to the incident said that at the time, a motorbike with license plate 37Y1-3728 driven by a man carrying his wife sitting behind was traveling from Hanoi to Vinh, reaching hamlet 12, Quynh Hau commune, Quynh Luu district when it suddenly hit a buffalo being led by a local on the road.

The collision caused the motorbike to fall onto the road, and the couple sitting in the motorbike were thrown far away. At this time, from behind, a passenger car with license plate 37B-01204 traveling in the same direction came and hit the couple again. As a result, the husband died on the way to the hospital, and the wife was seriously injured and is being treated at Quynh Luu District General Hospital.
