International flights from Guangxi to Phu Quoc will be operated from early 2016 with a frequency of 3 flights per week.

Leaders of Phu Quoc District People's Committee (Kien Giang) and Phu Quoc International Airport have worked with China Southern Airlines to open an international flight route from Guangxi to here.

Accordingly, in January 2016, a new flight route will be launched with a frequency of 3 flights per week to serve the travel needs of tourists from China to Phu Quoc island on B738 and A320 aircraft.

According to Phu Quoc International Airport, the number of visitors to Phu Quoc has been increasing since the beginning of the year. In the first 9 months of the year, the airport served nearly 9,200 landings and more than 1.1 million passengers, an increase of 50.8% over the same period last year.

Phu Quoc has more international flights to meet the travel needs of residents, businesses, and tourists, while promoting and introducing the island's tourism image to the world.
