The "ugly girl" actress was nominated by Japan as the ambassador of Okinoshima island during her recent visit to the land of cherry blossoms.

Recently, actress Lan Phuong traveled to Japan and worked with the leaders of Fukuoka City. After becoming an ambassador for JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), she participated in a number of events held in the land of the rising sun, and during the trip she was chosen as the ambassador for Okinoshima Island of Munakata City, which is being nominated to become a world heritage site.

Lan Phuong visited Japan's oldest and largest soy sauce factory. She had dinner with people involved in the project to make the island a world heritage site in the next 2 years.
