Treating heatstroke causing cough and asthma: Malabar spinach has a cool taste, has a cooling effect, and contains ephedrine which is very good for people with flu causing cough and asthma.

Weight loss: This vegetable has low heat generating ability (100g has only 36 calories), low in glucid and lipid but high in protein, so it is very suitable for the menu of people who want to lose weight such as obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Should cook spinach soup with lean pork and tofu.

Support for diabetes treatment: Diabetics should eat less rice so that blood glucose does not increase much after meals. Malabar spinach has inulin which helps slow down the absorption of sugar (sugar and rice are fast sugars). On the other hand, the heat-generating ability of inulin is only 1/9 of fat.
