Regarding this issue, in an interview with Zing.vn, Dr. Le Quang Hao from the National Institute of Nutrition stated: “Eggs are actually a very good food; we can eat them daily, even up to two eggs a day. There are no medical conditions that require abstaining from this food. Therefore, there is no need to worry if you enjoy eating eggs. Many vegetarian diets include eggs as a main dish daily.”
Dr. Hao noted that people should avoid eating raw or undercooked eggs due to the high risk of bacterial contamination. Additionally, individuals with high blood lipids, high cholesterol, and obesity should limit their egg consumption. However, for young children, eating eggs regularly is very beneficial.

"When eating, we should eat both the egg white and the yolk because both have the same nutritional value. The egg white contains the same amount of protein as the yolk, and it's not something to be discarded as many people mistakenly believe," Dr. Hao said.
According to estimates, an egg contains approximately 7g of protein, with 50% in the egg white, 44% in the yolk, and the remainder in the shell and membrane beneath the shell. Fat and cholesterol are found in the yolk. Therefore, egg whites are actually "healthier" as they are both nutritious and do not affect those with cholesterol problems. However, this expert believes that our bodies are very good at eliminating cholesterol, so for healthy individuals, eating egg yolks is not harmful.
