Salary ranking for civil servants in the field of crop cultivation and plant protection

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Home Affairs have just issuedJoint CircularRegulations on codes and standards for professional titles of civil servants specializing in crop cultivation and plant protection.

The Circular clearly stipulates the codes and classification of professional titles of officials specializing in crop cultivation and plant protection. Accordingly, plant protection titles include: Plant protection officer grade II - Code: V.03.01.01; Plant protection officer grade III - Code: V.03.01.02; Plant protection technician grade IV - Code: V.03.01.03

Pesticide appraisal positions include: Pesticide appraiser grade II - Code: V.03.02.04; Pesticide appraiser grade III - Code: V.03.02.05; Pesticide appraiser grade IV - Code: V.03.02.06

Plant testing positions include: Plant tester grade II - Code: V.03.03.07; Plant tester grade III - Code: V.03.03.08; Plant testing technician grade IV - Code: V.03.03.09.

Regarding salary classification, the Circular clearly states that professional titles in the field of crop cultivation and plant protection are subject to the Professional and Technical Salary Table for cadres and civil servants in State-owned enterprises (Table 3) issued together with Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP dated December 14, 2004 of the Government on salary regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces.

Specifically, the professional titles of plant protection officer grade II, plant protection drug appraiser grade II, and plant inspector grade II are subject to the salary coefficient of civil servants type A2, group A2.2 (from salary coefficient 4.00 to salary coefficient 6.38).

The professional titles of plant protection officer grade III, plant protection drug appraiser grade III, and plant inspector grade III are subject to the salary coefficient of type A1 civil servants (from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98).

The job titles of plant protection technician grade IV, plant protection drug appraiser grade IV, and plant testing technician grade IV are subject to the salary coefficient of type B civil servants (from salary coefficient 1.86 to salary coefficient 4.06).

This Joint Circular takes effect from December 5, 2015.
