Nguyen Binh Khiem's literary heritage - Thoughts and aesthetic tendencies
"Nguyen Binh Khiem's literary heritage - Thoughts and aesthetic tendencies" is the theme of the scientific conference jointly organized by the People's Committee of Hai Phong City and the Institute of Literature (Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences) on November 16.

The workshop is an activity to preserve and promote the literary heritage of cultural celebrity Nguyen Binh Khiem, and is also one of a series of events to commemorate the 430th anniversary of the death of Trang Trinh.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong People's Committee Le Khac Nam affirmed that Hai Phong is a land of "spiritual land and talented people," rich in the tradition of learning, and has had heroes and great men in every era. Regarding the imperial examinations, under the monarchy, Hai Phong had more than 100 great scholars of Chinese studies, including three top scholars, typically Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem (1491-1585). Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem and Second-ranked Hoang Giap Le Khac Can are two of the most prominent Han Nom writers of Hai Phong.
According to a representative of the Hai Phong City People's Committee, the workshop is a forum for central and local scientists to exchange ideas and announce new research results on Nguyen Binh Khiem and his poetic career.
In the near future, the temple of Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem will be recognized by the State as a special national relic, which is also a special honor for the cultural celebrity Nguyen Binh Khiem, an honor for his hometown Vinh Bao and Hai Phong city.
At the workshop, delegates focused on discussing four groups of contents related to the life and career of Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem, including Nguyen Binh Khiem viewed from the perspective of historical, cultural, social and ideological history; Textual issues and research status of Nguyen Binh Khiem; Nguyen Binh Khiem's poetry - content and aesthetic trends; Nguyen Binh Khiem with Hai Phong.
In the discussion with the topic "Nguyen Binh Khiem's cultural heritage in the life of Vinh Bao district people," Mr. Nguyen Van Quyn - Secretary of Vinh Bao District Party Committee, affirmed that up to now, the position, role and influence of Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem on social life in general and Nguyen Binh Khiem's cultural heritage in particular with Vinh Bao people are still present. Vinh Bao people always have the most admiration and respect for Nguyen Binh Khiem. Activities honoring the city's educational achievements all take place at the Temple of Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem in Ly Hoc commune, Vinh Bao district, Hai Phong, thereby affirming the admiration of Vinh Bao people as well as the Port City for the great contributions of Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem.
Nguyen Binh Khiem was a great politician, educator, thinker, and poet in the history of the nation, with a particularly important influence in the 16th century - a "big tree", a scholar, and a philosopher of the century. In every era, Nguyen Binh Khiem was highly appreciated as "the elite of the country", a talented strategist, actively involved in the world, a typical example of the new way of behaving of intellectuals in troubled times. He was also a person who always cared about the issue of human education, and was considered one of the masters of Vietnamese education.
With the talent of a great author, Nguyen Binh Khiem has made important contributions to the development of national literature. His works have had a profound influence on the spiritual life of the people and contributed to promoting the development of the national literature process./.
