Some provincial and municipal Literature and Arts Associations have many award-winning works such as: Nghe An (5 works); Phu Tho (4 works).
Prize A in the Literature category was awarded to the work "Phan Duy Nhan - Poetry and Life" (poetry collection) by author Phan Duy Nhan, 76 years old.
He had poems published very early in the 50s and 60s of the 20th century in patriotic poetry magazines of youth and students in Quang Nam, Da Nang, and Saigon.
He was one of the first members of the Union of Youth, Students and Pupils for Liberation and a member of the Central Central Liberation Literature and Arts Association in 1965.
The collection "Poetry and Life" by Phan Duy Nhan is a portrait of a generation of intellectuals - artists, students and pupils in the patriotic movement before 1975 in the cities of the South.
The A prize in the Photography category went to the work "Sublimation" by Nguyen Trung Kien (Can Tho). This work also won the Gold Medal of the 15th Vietnam International Photo Contest in the theme "Sublimation Moment."
With a tight composition, beautiful light source, and good shooting moment, the photo is both journalistic and artistic, containing many messages, expressing the breath of life and the times.
Assessing the quality of the works submitted to the 2015 Literature and Arts Awards, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations Nguyen Huu Thinh said that the quality of the awards has been increasingly improved. The award-winning works truly represent the entire literary and artistic world, demonstrating quality, contributing to gathering and uniting artists, discovering and nurturing young talents, and joining the creative literary and artistic workforce throughout the country. The works increasingly pay due attention to professionalism and sophistication.
This year’s awards have selected the best works of the year from the Central and local Literature and Arts Associations. These works have been published, exhibited or announced, performed, and have been admired by the public and mentioned by the press.
Authors who are members of provincial and municipal Literature and Arts Associations still maintain and follow traditional trends. Young authors, in addition to exploring and innovating in their style of expression, also closely follow the life and traditional morality of the nation in their content and themes.
In particular, many works deal with current national issues such as the issue of protecting border and island sovereignty./.
