Honoring President Ho Chi Minh abroad, the world understands Vietnam better

On December 17, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize a conference to review the Project "Honoring President Ho Chi Minh, Hero of Vietnamese National Liberation, Outstanding Cultural Figure, Abroad" to evaluate the results and discuss and propose measures and directions for implementation in the coming time.

The project “Honoring President Ho Chi Minh, Hero of Vietnamese National Liberation, Outstanding Cultural Man, Abroad” has been implemented since 2009 in all continents of the world in various forms, achieving many important results. Through the project, a number of valuable artifacts and documents related to President Ho Chi Minh have been discovered, collected and brought back to the country. The activities of the project have contributed to continuing to bring alive the image and ideology of President Ho Chi Minh.

After nearly 6 years of implementation, the Project has created positive impacts, not only maintaining the preservation and protection of President Ho Chi Minh's relics, but also achieving certain results in collecting documents, relics, preserving, embellishing and expanding, developing and renovating a number of relic and memorial sites.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung emphasized that honoring Uncle Ho is honoring the most typical Vietnamese person in whom the quintessential values ​​of the Vietnamese nation have crystallized. Through the image of the "National Liberation Hero" Ho Chi Minh, the world will better understand the tradition of patriotism and the will for independence, freedom, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Vietnamese people.

Through the image of “The Father of the Vietnamese Armed Forces”, the world will better understand the heroic history of building and defending the country and the military art of the Vietnamese people. Through the image of “Diplomat Ho Chi Minh”, the world will better understand the humane tradition, the peaceful nature, the justice of the struggles of the Vietnamese people as well as the open-minded spirit, always wanting and ready to be friends with the people of other countries of the Vietnamese nation.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed over a set of relics related to President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary activities to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for preservation, conservation and exploitation, directly serving the education of the younger generation about his career and legacy.
