Apple kills iPhone 5s

Along with the launch of the 4-inch iPhone SE, Apple will also stop selling the iPhone 5s - the company's very popular smartphone.

Before the event, some sources said that the iPhone SE would be sold for $400 while the iPhone 5s would be reduced from $450 to $225. The attractive price of the 5s would cause the expected sales of the SE to reach only about 12 million units.

Apple only sells iPhone 6s/6s Plus, iPhone 6/6 Plus and iPhone SE.

Many people expect Apple to continue distributing the low-cost iPhone 5s to expand its market share in countries such as India, the Middle East, Africa... However, this product is no longer available on Apple.com. Instead, there is the iPhone SE with a design similar to the 5s but with a rose gold color.

The iPhone SE is equipped with a 64-bit A9 processor, Touch ID fingerprint sensor, Apple Pay support, 12 megapixel camera with dual flash, 4K video recording and Live Photos feature. The iPhone SE is priced at 399 USD for the 16 GB version, 499 USD for the 64 GB version and is available on the market from March 31.
