Shocking 'Chivas 18' sold in bars made of cheap alcohol and fish sauce
Dozens of bottles of fake foreign liquor labeled Chivas, Hennessey, Martin, were produced by Hoai with the formula: cheap Ballantines Vodka mixed with caramel used to cook fish and then sold to restaurants and bars.
On May 27, Di An Town Police (Binh Duong) decided to temporarily detain Bui Van Hoai (26 years old, from Nghe An) for producing counterfeit goods.
According to the investigation, from around April 2016, detectives discovered that Hoai rented a house in Thong Nhat neighborhood (Di An Ward, Di An City) to mix alcohol and sell it.
