The young master's love is stronger than the death sentence for the gentle girl
A week before the wedding, she was mistakenly sentenced to death with HIV, but he declared "I will be with you until you are no longer in this world".
"Honey, I bought you rice rolls", "Honey, I turned on the water, let's take a bath", "Go to the next room and sleep, let me lull the baby to sleep"... Every day, Tuan Anh (25 years old) calls his wife affectionately like that, making people around him jealous many times. Hai Yen feels embarrassed every time people tease her, but because this way of addressing her has become a habit that she and her husband cannot change.
But that is just the surface of this couple's story. The hidden things are known only to the two of them and they have to overcome them together. Now, after nearly 4 years of marriage, Yen can confidently reveal that secret.
On the eve of her wedding in early 2013, medical student Yen received a positive HIV test result, suspected to have been transmitted through a patient’s needle. At that moment, the world seemed to collapse, Yen only thought of death. But Tuan Anh stood by her side to make the wedding happen.Fortunately, a month and a half after the wedding, Yen received a negative test result and was apologized and compensated by the hospital.
"His perseverance, his vow to marry me and take care of me until he is no longer in this world, will forever be in my heart," the 25-year-old girl from Ba Vi (Hanoi) confided.

Young couple Tuan Anh and Hai Yen. |
Their love story began when they were both in school. At that time, Yen was in the Literature class, and Tuan Anh was the monitor of the next class, handsome, rich, and had many female students secretly in love with him. Yen often secretly admired Tuan Anh when he passed by the class or during the flag salute ceremony, the leader of the whole class. She held that image in her heart for several years, but she never dreamed that it would be reciprocated.
As for Tuan Anh, although he met many of the criteria to be loved by girls, he was gentle, did not date or play around. When he was still in school, he only knew Hai Yen as "the girl who wore glasses and was afraid of worms". In 12th grade, Yen followed her family to Lai Chau to live. After she left for a few months, he realized that he could no longer see the "girl with glasses" anymore.
Maybe their relationship would have ended there, each going their separate ways. But fate brought them together again.
During Tet 2011, when Yen was a second-year student at Phu Tho Medical College, her family moved to Ba Vi to live. Through Facebook, Tuan Anh (then a student at the College of Pharmacy) saw Yen and realized that she was the "nearsighted girl from back then". He suddenly felt moved by the girl from back then who had now become a pretty, gentle and simple young woman. "She is exactly the type of girl I like", Tuan Anh revealed.
One day Yen posted her profile picture, Tuan Anh pretended to text her: "Do you want a better picture? I'll edit it for you. Give me your phone number so I can send it back." This trick didn't fool Yen, but because she also liked him, she gave him her number.
About 2 weeks after talking on Facebook, Tuan Anh asked Yen out for some sweet soup. The medical student still remembers that day clearly, the two of them sat across from each other, embarrassed, with only one cup of sweet soup but not enough to finish it. "He asked 'Do you still remember me?'. I asked back 'Do you still recognize me?'. And then we both smiled," Yen recalled. Thanks to the rain after the date, the young couple had the opportunity to wear the same raincoat, helping their feelings to blossom.
Tuan Anh confided that although there were many girls who wanted to get to know him, he had never liked anyone. When he met Yen again, his heart skipped a beat. Determined to love and marry, right after the date, Tuan mustered up all his courage to text and confess his love:
"Hey! From now on, let's address each other like that. Ever since I saw you on Facebook, I remembered the girl with glasses who went to high school with me. And I became friends so we could meet again. I don't know how to make you understand when I confessed my love as soon as we met. But you are the girl I need. I know there are many people chasing you around, but please give me a chance to take care of you for the rest of my life, Hai Yen."
Receiving the message, Yen jumped up with joy. After writing and deleting, she finally sent: "We just talked and I'm so embarrassed to call you like that. Give me time to think." Although a bit disappointed, Tuan Anh still "shamelessly" texted back: "Don't be embarrassed. You'll get used to it."

The mistaken diagnosis, from another perspective, could be a factor that tests and proves the love of Tuan Anh and Hai Yen. |
Since then, the guy took advantage of every moment to be with his girlfriend. Right after the confession, he went to Yen's mother's house to ask for permission for the two to date. Then he brought her home to meet his family. The love of the couple was supported by both families from the beginning.
After a year of dating, Tuan Anh and Yen decided to get married. But a week before the wedding, she had a severe stomachache and an unexpected disaster struck. The hospital concluded that Yen was HIV positive.
"When the doctor announced, my mother fainted on the spot. I burst into tears. At that moment, he hugged me tightly and cried too," Yen recalled the terrifying moment.
Although she went to a central hospital for examination, the second test result was still HIV positive. At that time, Yen believed that she really had the disease. She thought about the possibility of infection due to her internship time, contact with patients and needles. At that time, Yen just wanted to cancel the wedding and seek death.
"I didn't want to eat or drink anything, I was as skinny as a skeleton. Outsiders only knew that I was very sick. But he hid it from his family and continued to prepare for the wedding as usual. Whenever he had free time, he would call or come to visit me. I tried many ways to refuse, but he said if I didn't let him be with me, he would cry himself blind.
On our wedding day, he whispered in my ear, 'You are my wife. God has arranged it this way, I will still take care of you and love you until you are no longer alive in this world.' On our wedding night, we could only hug each other and cry," Yen recalled. The whole month of honeymoon was a time of imprisonment for Yen.
Perhaps the young girl would still be living in darkness if her mother had not requested to do the test again. The third result showed that she did not have HIV. Immediately after that, the hospital apologized and compensated.
"When my mother brought the results home, I wanted to destroy the whole hospital. Because of their mistake, I almost committed suicide. But at that time, my husband calmly hugged me and said, 'I knew it. It's fate. Because I'm lucky, my wife is fine,'" Yen added.

Happy home of young couple. |
More than 3 years after their wedding, Yen and her husband now have a cute 2.5 year old son. Yen looks younger, Tuan is less of a prince, and more mature as a family man. Currently, the young couple has a happy life and a stable economy. They own two drug stores and a bakery.
Yen confided that the most outstanding thing about her husband is that he is gentle and loves his wife. However, there are times when he is hot-tempered, and she knows to calm him down.
As for Tuan Anh, he values his wife for her tolerance, hard work, and delicious cooking. "I love my wife the most because she is compassionate and sometimes lets herself suffer. Even though my wife is simple and doesn't wear makeup, that's enough to make me fall in love with her," the young master said with a smile. Understanding Yen's childhood, when her father died early and she lacked affection, Tuan Anh always wanted to love and take care of her little by little.
They have been together for nearly 5 years but Tuan Anh has never once said he loves his wife. Many times Yen asked "Do you love me?", he replied "No, I hate you so much". Seeing his wife's face fall, he added "You can feel what I have for you and our child". Just that sentence alone, Yen did not ask again.
When Yen gave birth, while struggling with pain, she suddenly heard her husband's voice singing: "I never said I would love you forever/ I never thought I could do it/ But I promise, I love you so much/ I love you without reason..."
That affectionate gaze and familiar warm voice helped Yen temporarily forget the pain. When his wife finished giving birth, Tuan Anh carried her to the hospital bed and whispered in her ear: "There, I just confessed my love to you."
