Earlier, the press reported that India will lease the K-322 "Kashalot" submarine built in 1998, currently part of the Pacific Fleet.
Citing its own sources in the military, Kommersant said that if the Indian Navy chooses this submarine, it will not affect the combat level of the Russian fleet.
The combat duty fleet currently includes submarines of projects 667BDRM "Kalmar" and 949 "Antey" as well as strategic missile submarines of project 955 "Borey".
According to the newspaper's data, the lessee demanded serious upgrades to the submarine, not only in terms of adapting it to the Indian crew's management system, but also in terms of weapons.
