Quynh Luu 1 High School launches campaign to improve irrigation and transportation infrastructure.

(Baonghean.vn) - In response to the plan of the District People's Committee, on the morning of October 20th, Quynh Luu 1 High School organized a campaign to mobilize cadres and students to participate in the 2014 irrigation and transportation construction project.

Students from Quynh Luu 1 High School are dredging and clearing the N17 canal.

During this irrigation campaign, the school was assigned the task of dredging and clearing the N17 canal, which is 3.5km long. This is one of the important canals providing irrigation water for 700 hectares of agricultural land in five communes: Quynh Hong, Quynh Hung, Cau Giat, Quynh Hoa, and Quynh Hau. After receiving the assignment from the District People's Committee, Quynh Luu 1 High School quickly planned and assigned specific tasks and tools to each class for the irrigation campaign. Understanding the purpose and significance of the irrigation campaign, the students of the school were all very active and worked seriously.

The entire school mobilized 1,800 staff, teachers, and students to participate in digging, dredging, and clearing the drainage and irrigation canals in the fields, and building embankments along the 3.5km-long N17 canal. In just one morning, under the specific guidance and high sense of responsibility of the homeroom teachers, along with the enthusiastic spirit of the youth, Quynh Luu 1 High School dredged over 500m³ of soil and cleared and cleaned over 1,200m² of land. This exceeded the assigned plan, ensuring the provision of agricultural services for local farmers.
