Ms. Nguyen Thi Yem (born in 1942) is in difficult circumstances, a former Youth Volunteer Soldier currently receiving the disabled soldier B regime. She is not married but lives alone in a dilapidated, makeshift house. Understanding her situation, the District Women's Union has mobilized all levels, sectors and people to support her in building a new house.

After a period of urgent construction, the two-room house with a usable area of ​​24 square meters was completed and put into use. The total cost of the house was nearly 50 million VND. Of which, the District Women's Union's Shelter Fund supported 20 million VND, the remaining amount was supported by organizations, individuals, neighbors, and relatives.
