Nguyen Xuan On High School celebrates its 70th anniversary and receives the First Class Labor Medal

(Baonghean.vn) - On November 13, Nguyen Xuan On High School solemnly celebrated its 70th anniversary, receiving the First Class Labor Medal and a certificate of recognition as a national standard school.

Nguyen Xuan On High School was established in March 1946 and was the first high school in Dien Chau district.

After 70 years of construction and development, from only 2 First Grade classes with more than 80 students, the school now has 39 classes with more than 1,500 students. The facilities are spacious and modern, ensuring good service for teaching and learning. The quality of the teaching staff is increasingly improved with 100% of teachers and staff having university and post-graduate degrees. Of which, there is 1 teacher who is doing research, 34/84 staff and teachers have master's degrees, 34 teachers are recognized as good teachers at the provincial level.

The school also always focuses on improving quality. For many consecutive years, the school has been one of the leading flags of the education sector of Nghe An province. The rate of graduating students, students achieving provincial excellent students, students passing university entrance exams, and students with high scores are always in the top group.

From Nguyen Xuan On High School, over the past 70 years, there have been more than 35,000 graduates, thousands of whom are now professors, doctors, scientists, researchers, and senior officials holding important positions in many fields of the country.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the school's founding, the school was honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal from the President. The Prime Minister awarded the emulation flag for its outstanding achievements in teaching and learning. The Ministry of Education and Training and the Provincial People's Committee also awarded certificates of merit to 12 outstanding individuals.
