(Baonghean) -Ho Nguyen Ha My, a 12th grade student at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nghe An, is the first person from Nghe An to win first prize in the national excellent student competition for French.

Ha My just won first prize nationwide in French.

Born in 1991, in a family where both parents are successful businessmen in Nghe An, little Ha My has had a passion and talent for learning foreign languages, especially French, since childhood. Before entering the province's specialized school, Ha My was fortunate to study at Le Loi Secondary School, a place with a famous tradition of teaching and learning French in Nghe An countryside. For 12 years, she was an advanced student, achieving excellent student results for many years in a row. In the 2008-2009 school year, she won first prize in the provincial and national excellent student contest for French.

On the occasion of the Association for the Promotion of Education and the People's Committee of Le Mao Ward, Vinh City (where she and her family live) organizing an award ceremony, Ha Mi said that her academic results were partly thanks to her parents' support. Ha Mi was also encouraged by her older sister, Ho Nguyen Van Anh, who is currently a student at the Foreign Trade University, to always take care of her and strive to excel in her studies.

In addition to studying in class, Ha Mi also spends a lot of time at home on this subject. In addition to reading and writing skills, she also practices listening, especially listening to music with French lyrics. In addition to studying, Ha Mi also participates in translating letters in both Vietnamese and French for charity.

Mr. Ho Quang Sac (Ha My's father) said: the reason Ha My took the opportunity to do this is because in daily life, his children are always set good examples by their parents and guided to live according to the "culture of charity". Therefore, although their parents are busy all year round with the company's business, all three sisters Van Anh, Ha My and the youngest sister Thuc Uyen are all obedient and good at studying.

Before the exam day, I couldn’t sleep all week, partly because I lacked confidence, because in my hometown, foreign language subjects are often not comparable to those of students in many other places such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang… But teacher Le Van Kien, who directly taught me this subject for three consecutive years, encouraged me to try hard and have confidence in myself.

In the end, Ha My brought honor to the school, and first of all to herself, her family and her hometown. However, when meeting with everyone, she confided that this was only the initial result, there was still a big sky ahead, with the high school graduation exam and the upcoming university entrance exam in front of her. Her long-standing wish was to become a student at the Foreign Trade University in Hanoi, and then maybe further abroad.
