Nearly 12 thousand elderly people received gifts from the President and the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

On the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year of Tan Mao, the communes, wards, towns and the Association of the Elderly in the province organized congratulations and presented gifts from the President and the Provincial People's Committee to 346 centenarians: Red silk from the President and 200,000 VND from the Provincial People's Committee; 3,465 centenarians: 200,000 VND from the Provincial People's Committee; 7,964 centenarians: 100,000 VND from the Provincial People's Committee.

Hamlets, villages, blocks and the Elderly Association organized solemn and warm longevity celebrations with rich cultural programs.
