Tuong Duong won 21 provincial excellent student awards in grade 9.

(Baonghean) -The provincial excellent student contest, grade 9, school year 2010-2011 was held in mid-March in Vinh City, Tuong Duong district, with 35 students participating and winning 21 prizes, ranking 3rd among 5 mountainous districts of Nghe An.

In the 21 prizes, there are 2 second prizes in History and Geography; 9 third prizes in Literature, Geography, Civic Education, History, English; 10 consolation prizes in Literature, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Civic Education, English.

This is the first school year that Tuong Duong district has the largest number of students participating in the provincial excellent student competition and achieving high prizes in the subjects compared to previous school years. Notably, this is also the first time that the district has had ethnic minority students from remote areas participating in the competition and achieving high prizes. That is, Yen Hoa Secondary School has 1 student winning second prize in History, and Huu Khuong Secondary School has 1 student winning third prize in Civic Education.
