Vietnam Taekwondo attends 2011 World Championship

To prepare for this competition, since the beginning of April, 6 athletes of the team have been training in Korea. The world playground takes place from May 1 to 6 at the Gyeongju City Gymnasium, 354 km from Seoul. This year, 1,040 athletes from 149 countries and territories will compete in 16 weight classes (8 for women).

After this tournament, the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) will select 60 people to participate in the management of the 2012 London Olympics. Currently, the WTF has 197 members and ranks 9th among the sports federations with the most members.
