Animal breeder in Thai Hoa
(Baonghean) -For nearly ten years, Ms. Nguyen Kim Tien (in Quang Tien ward, Thai Hoa town, Nghe An) has been famous for breeding wild animals such as wild boars, wild chickens, etc. to supply to people in the Western region of Nghe An.
Talking about Ms. Kim Tien, the farmers in Thai Hoa admire her talent in raising livestock and doing business. Being hardworking and not accepting failure, she now has a farm that generates hundreds of millions of dong in net profit each year. Without having attended any training course in livestock farming, her farm generates steady profits every year without any disease outbreaks. When asked about her secret, she humbly said: “Through practical experience and diligently reading books, farmers will be successful. The important thing is that when investing in livestock farming, one must not be discouraged.”
Her farm in Nghia Quang commune (now Quang Tien ward) has become a breeding address for people not only in Nghe An but also in other places such as Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh... to come to. Ms. Tien said that after investing in renovating and building a farm of nearly 4 hectares at the foot of Ru Le hill, far from residential areas, in 2008 she went all the way to Da Nang to buy 9 wild boars to take care of. The following year, each pig had a 2-lunch cycle per year and quickly multiplied the herd to dozens of wild boars, after nearly 4 months of leaving the farm, they reached about 20kg with prices ranging from 200,000 to 250,000 VND/kg. After completing the airy farm system, clean barns, and enough workers, she went to Quang Ninh to buy 50 more purebred Mong Cai sows to raise for reproduction.

Sharing the secret, Ms. Tien added that to be successful, first of all, the breeder must regularly monitor the development of the animal as well as clean the barn. In particular, raising animals according to the VAC model is very convenient to balance the environmental ecosystem, helping the animals grow healthily. That is the reason why she boldly accepted the bare hills to plant forests around, creating a cool atmosphere for the animals. This is especially suitable for raising wild boars because it saves care and the food source is readily available. In addition, she takes advantage of every opportunity to visit farm models across the country, wherever the animal husbandry is good, she goes to learn. Through many outbreaks of disease, Ms. Tien's farm is still absolutely safe. Her "cool" way of raising animals is sought out and learned by many people.
Up to now, Kim Tien's farm always has up to 300 pigs, more than 100 wild boars, not to mention nearly ten tons of various fish raised in the pond. Every year, she creates jobs for nearly 10 workers who are children of disadvantaged backgrounds. Having successfully raised livestock, she established a joint stock company specializing in business, services, and freight transport under her name, creating stable jobs for dozens of local workers.
