Online conference to implement the 2010 Law on Inspection

(Baonghean) -The Law on Inspection was passed by the 8th session of the 12th National Assembly on November 15, 2010 and will officially take effect from July 1, 2011 with many new points amended and supplemented compared to the 2004 Law on Inspection. Therefore, to bring the Law on Inspection into life, the Government Inspectorate organized a national online conference to deploy the Law on Inspection, starting at 8:00 a.m. this morning, June 24, 2011.

The participants of the online conference are leaders of 62 provinces and cities chaired by the Government Inspectorate from the Hanoi bridge point.

Chairing the meeting at Vinh City, Nghe An Province was Comrade Thai Van Hang, Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; also attending were representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors; leaders of People's Committees of districts, cities and key officials of the inspection sector.

At the Conference, the Government Inspectorate introduced the meaning, as well as some notable new points of the 2010 Inspection Law. The 2010 Inspection Law includes 7 chapters and 78 articles regulating general issues including the scope, purpose, principles of inspection activities, the position of the inspection agency, the responsibility of the Head of the state management agency, the organizational structure of the state inspection agency and specific provisions such as: organizational structure, tasks and powers of the agency performing the inspection function. In addition to the above content, delegates can also ask questions and raise concerns about a number of specific provisions of the Law on Inspection in the process of performing tasks as well as organizing the implementation of this Law into life.
