Accordingly, the Chairman of the People's Committee of localities directs and creates favorable conditions for businesses, organizations and individuals to promote production and trading of essential goods, especially food and foodstuffs, to ensure consumption needs and increase people's income.
Local leaders must also direct the resolute, timely, and strict handling of violations of price laws, especially the taking advantage of the State's policy on price management of some commodities according to market mechanisms to unreasonably increase prices, spread false news, and cause panic in the area.
The Ministry of Finance shall continue to closely monitor domestic and international market price developments to promptly issue appropriate tax policies and take measures to regulate and stabilize the market, preventing price fluctuations of essential goods directly related to production and life; persistently and consistently manage electricity, gasoline, and coal prices according to market mechanisms based on calculating the roadmap and timing appropriate to the situation and inflation control goals set by the Government.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade coordinates with relevant ministries and branches to take measures to promote production, regulate import and export, ensure balance of supply and demand of essential goods such as food, foodstuffs, gasoline, fertilizers, iron and steel, medicines, etc., and prevent shortages, price fever, and impacts on production and people's lives.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development shall preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the People's Committees of border provinces to urgently inspect and take measures to strictly manage the export of food and foodstuffs to countries sharing borders to ensure the supply of domestic goods and raw materials for export production, avoid pushing up prices, causing adverse impacts on the domestic consumer price index and the target of controlling inflation according to Resolution 11 of the Government.
Coordinate with localities to have specific and appropriate solutions to promptly and effectively control livestock and poultry diseases to ensure supply for the market.
The Prime Minister also requested economic groups and state-owned corporations to proactively implement cost-cutting solutions, build a basis and roadmap for appropriate price increases for items on the price stabilization list as prescribed by law, strictly comply with legal regulations on price registration, price declaration, price posting and selling at listed prices.
According to the Prime Minister's dispatch, in the first days of July, in some localities, food prices increased sharply, affecting people's lives as well as the target of controlling inflation at 15-17% as reported by the Government to the Central Executive Committee and the National Assembly Standing Committee.
