Vietnam won Gold Medal at International Olympiad in Informatics
Mr. Nguyen Duy Kha, Head of the Examination Department, Department of Examination and Quality Control, Ministry of Education and Training, said that all 4 Vietnamese contestants participating in the 23rd International Olympiad in Informatics in Thailand won prizes. Among them, there was 1 Gold Medal, 1 Silver Medal and 2 Bronze Medals.

Specifically, Nguyen Vuong Linh, a 12th grade student at the High School for Gifted Students of Natural Sciences, Hanoi National University, won the Gold Medal.
Nguyen Tan Sy Nguyen, a 12th grade student at the Gifted High School - Ho Chi Minh City National University, won the Silver Medal.
Le Khac Minh Tue, a 12th grade student at the High School for Gifted Students of Natural Sciences, Hanoi National University, and Nguyen Hoang Yen, a 12th grade student at the High School for Gifted Students - Hanoi National University of Education, both won Bronze Medals.
This achievement is a big breakthrough compared to the results that the Vietnamese team achieved in the 22nd International Olympiad in Informatics.
The 22nd International Olympiad in Informatics was held in Canada in 2010. The Vietnamese delegation also had 4 students competing, but only one contestant won a prize. That was Tran Dang Tuan Anh, an 11th grade student at Luong Van Tuy High School for the Gifted (Ninh Binh), who won a Bronze Medal.
