Fowler on Calisto's team
At Robbie Fowler's launch ceremony, Muang Thong United received a great honor when future Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra attended with her son.
Robbie Fowler had glorious years playing for Liverpool and the England national team. At his peak with the "Red Brigade," this striker scored 162 goals.

However, he then had to say goodbye to Liverpool twice to join many teams (Leeds United, Man City, Cardiff, Blackburn, North Queensland Fury and Perth Glory) before deciding to join Muang Thong United - the team currently led by the "former" Vietnamese player, Henrique Calisto.
Joining the new team, the 36-year-old striker will wear the number 9 shirt. Speaking at the introduction, Fowler expressed: "I feel very happy to join Muang Thong United. I have not played football for the past few months but I will soon return to my best playing condition to contribute to the team's victory."
Meanwhile, Chairman Ronnarit Suewaja believes that with Fowler's presence, Muang Thong United will improve its performance: "I believe that Fowler's presence will help improve the team's performance, as well as the quality of the Thai Premier League."
At the ceremony held at the club's headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand's future Prime Minister, Yingluck Shinawatra, attended with her son and took photos with striker Robbie Fowler.
