In early August 1945, upon hearing the news that Japanese fascists had unconditionally surrendered to the Allies, revolutionary spirit was seething everywhere in our country, and preparations were being made every hour and every minute for the General Uprising... (Baonghean) -In early August 1945, upon hearing the news that Japanese fascists had unconditionally surrendered to the Allies, revolutionary spirit was seething everywhere in our country, and preparations were being made every hour and every minute for the General Uprising... Under the wise, resolute and clever direction of the Party headed by Uncle Ho, by August 19, 1945, the uprising to seize power in Hanoi had ended in complete victory.

Along with Hanoi, people in other localities rose up to gain power successfully; in Nghe An it was August 21, the same day as in Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Nam Dinh, Ninh Thuan, and Tan An provinces.

In just 2 weeks, from August 14 to August 24, 1945, the General Uprising was completely victorious. For the first time in the history of our country, the entire country's government truly belonged to the people. The colonial and monarchical regimes were abolished, opening a new era for Vietnam - the era of national independence associated with socialism, thereby strongly encouraging the fighting spirit of the people of the colonies and semi-colonies in the world.

Uncle Ho read the Declaration of Independence

In fact, the August Revolution of 1945 was accurately predicted by Uncle Ho in 1942. That year, he composed the book History of our country (some places call it Vietnam historical poem), the place of compilation was the mountainous area of Cao Bang. The manuscript consists of 210 six-eight verses, with a table recording important years, taking the historical milestone from 2979 BC to 1942, the year the work was published. The book was published by the Vietnam Propaganda Department in February 1942. The author's goal was to educate the people about patriotism, promote pride in the glorious history of the nation, encourage the whole people to unite and participate in the Viet Minh Front to make revolution, gain independence for the fatherland:
Our people must know our history,
For the original wall of Vietnam.

Reading the History of Our Country, many historians highly appreciate it from an academic perspective, because this is the first time in Vietnam that the history of a country has been viewed, evaluated, and popularized from the perspective of Marxism-Leninism... What is noteworthy here is that at the end of the book, in the last line of the section "Important years", the author clearly writes: Vietnam Independence - 1945.

In our country and the world, there have been many people who have the talent to predict and foretell various big and small events. This ability is extremely necessary for all nations and eras, especially when the fate of a nation is facing many great challenges, at the climax of history... As for President Ho Chi Minh, many people at home and abroad acknowledge that he always had the ability to make quick and profound judgments, foreseeing future events and incidents, thereby preparing possible conditions for victory. This has been clearly and systematically demonstrated throughout his revolutionary life associated with the history of the Vietnamese revolution. His prediction that the Vietnamese revolution would succeed in 1945 is just one of many convincing evidences.

Mr. Huynh Thuc Khang (1897-1947), after the August Revolution, accepted Uncle Ho's invitation to hold the position of Minister of the Interior, then acting President during the time Uncle Ho worked in France. In 1947, Mr. Huynh went to Quang Ngai as a representative of the Government. When meeting with people from the Central and Southern regions who wanted to ask more about Uncle Ho, he once said: "In terms of qualifications, Uncle Ho did not have a doctorate or a bachelor's degree. But when it comes to knowledge and revolutionary career, certainly our generation, like the generation before us, is unmatched. Uncle Ho's understanding is very far and wide, not only in the country but also in the world. Where will this country go in the future, how will that country change? He spoke clearly, coherently, never boring to listen to...". Mr. Huynh Thuc Khang's sincere, extremely simple and confident words of praise for Uncle Ho partly explained his ability to predict. It is not about degrees, the main thing is knowledge and revolutionary career, having experienced many bitter realities, understanding to the point of wisdom, not only about domestic affairs but also related to many countries, to people, to humanity in general...

There have been and will be many comprehensive and convincing research works on Ho Chi Minh's predictive genius. However, reality and time have always been the most objective and strict "teachers" to test all truths. General Vo Nguyen Giap was absolutely right, once he affirmed: Reality and time will be the strictest testers. Those prophecies always belong to Geniuses!
