(Baonghean) -This morning, July 21, the Religious Affairs Committee, Nghe An Department of Home Affairs held a conference to review the State management of religion in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2011. Attending the conference were comrade Thai Van Hang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of provincial departments, branches, and sectors and a number of districts, cities, and towns.

In the first 6 months of the year, religious organizations in Nghe An have been strengthening their faith and developing their basic religion while complying with the law. Most religious dignitaries have taken care of their spiritual lives and encouraged followers to implement the Party's policies and the State's laws in the direction of "good life, good religion".

The Religious Affairs Committee - Department of Home Affairs, Home Affairs Offices of districts, cities and towns closely coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and relevant departments and branches to strengthen the State management of religion, propose the implementation of the Party's policies and the State's laws on religious work. Closely follow the locality to grasp the aspirations and wishes to proactively advise competent authorities to promptly resolve the legitimate religious needs of believers, dignitaries and religious organizations. Pay attention to visiting and encouraging religious organizations, humanitarian charity centers, dignitaries, and policy families on the occasion of important religious holidays. Organize training courses on religious work for cadres and key commune leaders in religious areas... Advise on resolving legitimate and legal religious needs in accordance with policies and laws; At the same time, coordinate in handling illegal religious activities and resolve petitions of religious organizations and individuals in accordance with the law.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Thai Van Hang emphasized: In the coming time, localities and the Home Affairs sector need to have a correct understanding of religious work; proactively grasp the thoughts, aspirations and legitimate needs of religious organizations and followers. Focus on promptly and legally resolving existing religious needs and new religious needs. Proactively prevent and effectively resolve illegal proselytizing activities. Strengthen the organization, build coordination programs between Party committees, authorities at all levels, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and departments, branches and organizations to improve the effectiveness of State management of religion.
