Yen Thanh: Inauguration of public works to prevent natural disasters
(Baonghean) -On the morning of August 12, the People's Committee of Yen Thanh district (Nghe An) coordinated with the Central Region Disaster Prevention Support Fund to organize the inauguration ceremony of the community disaster prevention project at the southern district medical center.
The community project for natural disaster prevention in the southern medical center of Yen Thanh district is located in Cong Thanh commune, sponsored by the Pacific Group and the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group. After 7 months of construction, the project has been completed. With a 2-storey design, the usable area is over 125m2.2, with all functional rooms arranged reasonably. The project has a total cost of over 2.6 billion VND, of which, the Pacific Group and Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation sponsored 2 billion VND, the rest is from the district budget and other support sources.
This project is put into use as both a medical facility and a place to avoid floods for people in 9 southern communes of the district and neighboring communes. This is one of 47 flood prevention projects nationwide funded by the Central Disaster Support Fund.
