Gaddafi's son appears on TV again
Arrai TV on September 27 broadcast an audio recording that it said was from Saif al-Islam, son of ousted Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.
In this video, dated September 20, al-Islam appears to be rallying his forces in one of Gaddafi's last strongholds currently under siege by rebels.
"This is the land of your ancestors. Do not give it to others. My brothers, you need to enter Tripoli today by force," Saif al-Islam said.
Saif al-Islam has not been seen in public since the Libyan capital fell to rebels in August. The video could not be verified.
Nearly a week ago, a commander of the National Transitional Council forces besieging the stronghold of Bani Walid said that his forces had seen Saif in the city, with a 100% guarantee, and that Gaddafi was also there (70% probability).
Saif's sister Aisha later appeared on Arrai Channel, claiming that her father and brother were in good health and spirits. Aisha, her mother and two other brothers were also said to have fled Algeria to Egypt.
Arrai TV channel in Syria is considered the mouthpiece of the Gaddafi family, since the Libyan TV station was taken over by rebels./.
