Building and replicating models with high economic efficiency

(Baonghean) -This morning, October 7, comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province visited and worked in Que Phong district.

Also attending the meeting were comrades Luong Quang Kinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee; Ho Ngoc Sy - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors and Que Phong district.

Before working with the leaders of Que Phong district, the delegation visited economic models in the district: Passion fruit growing model, Minh Chau New Economic Zone in Tri Le commune; duck raising model, bamboo splitting model, incense making model in Que Son commune and rice intensive farming model using imported bamboo rat manure in Tien Phong commune.

Que Phong is a mountainous border district, with 5 ethnic groups: Thai, Kinh, Mong, Kho Mu, Tho living; it is one of 62 poor districts invested in under the Government's Resolution 30a program. In recent times, the Party Committee, government and people of Que Phong district have overcome difficulties and achieved many high results in many fields. In the first 9 months of the year, the district has planted 4,482/4,500 hectares, reaching 99% of the plan. The district is continuing to implement and replicate models with high economic efficiency such as passion fruit model, rice intensive farming model using imported fertilizer, safe vegetable growing model, black chicken farming model, porcupine breeding model...

The model of raising ducks has high economic value in Que Son commune.

Along with agriculture, the district focuses on developing industry, handicrafts, organizing on-site product processing such as toothpick splitting, incense sticks in Que Son, civil carpentry, exploitation and processing of construction materials... Budget revenue and expenditure in the district has made much progress, total budget revenue is 223,576 billion VND, reaching 109% compared to the estimate assigned by the District People's Council, of which budget revenue in the area is 12,664 billion VND. The cultural and social fields have many positive changes. Security, order, social safety and national defense, border security are maintained. The district is focusing on reviewing and planning new rural construction.

At the meeting, Que Phong district proposed that the province should allocate capital for the district to invest in building infrastructure and developing production, stabilizing life such as: Investing in building a self-flowing domestic water system and supporting house building under the 167 CP program for 80 Mong households in the new economic zone of Minh Chau, Tri Le commune; investing in building roads, irrigation canals; building headquarters, schools, and commune health stations that have seriously degraded. Supporting funding, seeds, and science and technology to help the district replicate highly effective economic models in the district. The province allows to supplement the planning for rubber tree planting in the area. Currently, Que Phong has 7 new villages that have been separated and established in recent years and are operating, but due to incomplete procedures, the province has not yet allocated a budget for operations. The province needs to pay attention to the district to restore the grassroots broadcasting system, strengthen young people's knowledge, and create a source of cadres for the district...

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Ho Duc Phoc acknowledged and praised the results that the Party Committee and people of Que Phong district have achieved. He emphasized that in the coming time, the district needs to pay attention to promoting the work of hunger eradication and poverty reduction, economic development, and applying science and technology to production to promote the potential and advantages of the district. Pay attention to developing infrastructure, developing small industrial parks associated with raw material processing factories; developing a network of markets and trade centers to solve employment and circulation of goods; Speed ​​up the construction of hydroelectric plants; Build and replicate economic models, improve people's lives; Focus on developing towns and townships, creating momentum for economic development; Invest in upgrading commune health stations, focusing on primary health care for people; Improve the quality of education, prevent students from dropping out of school; Minimize illegal migration, illegal proselytizing and social evils, especially drugs; Create jobs and reduce poverty, pay attention to support the poor; Ensure social order and safety, maintain border security; Manage forests well, exploit minerals, fight illegal logging and mineral exploitation.
