Evaluating and assessing the effectiveness of the Biogas project in Nghe An.

(Baonghean)From October 25th to 27th, the expert evaluation team and the Central Biogas Project Management Board worked with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Nghe An Biogas Project Management Board, district units, and a number of households participating in the project to assess the quality and effectiveness of biogas technology in household-scale livestock farming.

After three days of work in Nghe An, the evaluation team highly appreciated the effectiveness and quality of the biogas digester projects in Nghe An. In addition to contributing to reducing environmental pollution caused by waste, these biogas digester projects also help maintain and support livestock development, while bringing many other economic benefits such as: cooking, lighting, using water heaters, running generators, utilizing valuable by-products as fertilizer for crops and aquaculture, etc.

The objective of this assessment is to move towards the implementation of a voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction program through the "Gold Credit" system. This assessment reaffirms that KSH technology has brought significant and practical benefits in terms of environmental and economic efficiency to livestock farmers.

In the coming period, the KSH Nghe An Project Management Board will continue to promote communication, provide technical advice, and offer financial support to encourage and create opportunities for more households to access the project and support the development of livestock farming, ensuring sustainability and long-term effectiveness.
