(Baonghean.vn) Bac Ninh College of Medicine and Pharmacy was established on April 8, 2009 under Decision No. 396/QD - UBND of the Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee with two main training majors: general practitioner and pharmacist. Based on the requirements of socialized education, from the learning needs of students in the Central provinces (in the 2 years 2009 - 2010, out of the total number of students enrolled at the school, there were 708 students from Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces), Bac Ninh College of Medicine and Pharmacy opened a training branch in Nghe An.
School leaders awarded prizes to students with outstanding achievements in the 2010-2011 school year.
Master Le Duc Manh - Principal of the school said: During the time of applying for land to open a branch in Nghe An, the school coordinated with the Economic - Technical Vocational College No. 1 to use the premises and 19 classrooms that have been renovated to be spacious and clean with 5 pharmacy practice rooms, 4 medical practice rooms, 5 theory classrooms and 5 rooms for the board of directors. In the 2010-2011 school year, the school attracted 70 students to register to study, in the 2011-2012 school year, the school enrolled 300 students mainly from the 2 provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh.
Identifying medicine as a special training profession, learning must go hand in hand with practice, in addition to the practice rooms at the school, although newly established, the school has proactively contacted and signed internship contracts with leading hospitals in the province such as: Children's Hospital, Nghe An General Hospital, Military Region 4 Hospital, Cua Dong General Hospital, Hospital 115... and 20 medical stations, pharmaceutical companies in Vinh City and neighboring areas.
Another issue that the school puts on top is strengthening the teaching staff. With the form of direct recruitment through a 3-month probationary period, priority is given to candidates with good and excellent degrees. Currently, the school has recruited and staffed 15 staff and teachers to work directly at the branch. To ensure training, with a team of 131 permanent teachers at the head office, the school is arranged to teach at the branch according to the schedule of the Training Department and according to the assignment of the faculties. It is known that guest teachers in Nghe An are responsible for general subjects such as: Information Technology, Foreign Languages, Law... taught by teachers of the College of Economics and Technology, while for clinical subjects, the school invites Military Medical Institute 4 to directly teach.
Pham Thi Le Na (born in 1992, from Duc Tho, Ha Tinh) is a student of Pharmacy class 2011 - 2013, said: "Before registering to study at Nghe An branch, my family and I carefully researched relevant information about Bac Ninh College of Medicine and Pharmacy through mass media, through friends who studied at the school in previous courses. Although I have only officially studied for 3 months (from August 2011), I feel very secure because the facilities and practice rooms are quite complete. When studying here, the school organizes health check-ups, issues health insurance cards, student cards... What I like most is the serious study schedule, enthusiastic teachers, easy-to-understand communication, and dedication to students. My wish is that after finishing school, I will return to my hometown to open a pharmacy to serve the people".
