Training on skills of People's Council delegates

(Baonghean.vn)On the morning of October 26, in Vinh City, the Ministry of Home Affairs held the opening ceremony of a training course on skills for the Provincial People's Council activities for 350 trainees who are People's Council delegates from 6 provinces: Nam Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri.

In his opening speech, Comrade Nguyen Duy Thang - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, affirmed: The People's Council has a very important position and role in deciding policies and solutions on socio-economic development, national defense and security of the locality; exercising the right to supervise the activities of the People's Committee, the People's Court, the People's Procuracy as well as the resolutions of the People's Council and the compliance with the law of state agencies, socio-economic organizations, people's armed forces and citizens in the locality. The exercise of the People's Council's power depends on the effectiveness of the activities of the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the committees, groups and each delegate of the Provincial People's Council.

During the 3 days, the trainees will be directly taught by lecturers of the National Academy of Public Administration and the Central Institute for Economic Management on the contents of socio-economic development in Vietnam during the transition and international integration period; presentation, questioning and discussion skills of provincial People's Council delegates, contact with voters and people, financial and budgetary supervision; position, role, functions, tasks, powers and methods of operation of the People's Council and provincial People's Council delegates...
