XIII National Assembly delegates meet with voters in Quynh Luu
Continuing the voter contact program, this afternoon, October 6, Mr. Pham Van Tan - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Phan Van Quy, met with voters of 8 communes in Nong Giang area: Quynh Xuan; Quynh Van; Quynh Tan; Quynh Hau; Quynh Thanh; Quynh Doi; Quynh Hoa and Quynh Thach.
(Baonghean) -Continuing the voter contact program, this afternoon, October 6, Mr. Pham Van Tan - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Phan Van Quy, met with voters of 8 communes in Nong Giang area: Quynh Xuan; Quynh Van; Quynh Tan; Quynh Hau; Quynh Thanh; Quynh Doi; Quynh Hoa and Quynh Thach.
As a food, vegetable, and aquaculture production area with a large labor force and many craft villages, voters in this area have raised many issues regarding production land, bank loans, vocational training, and craft village development; shortcomings in the implementation of Government Decrees and guiding Circulars of several central ministries and branches on irrigation fees, budget allocation for cultural and social activities, policies for the elderly, and refunds for electricity grid investment to the people.
Some delegates mentioned that the mechanism for community supervision of investment projects is still lax, leading to budget losses, especially infrastructure development projects and works serving people in rural and mountainous areas. Voters also suggested that the Government should pay attention to the school consolidation program, implement the Law on Marriage and Family, and protect women's rights after divorce regarding property, housing, and land.
Also at the meeting this afternoon, many delegates mentioned the issue of residential land prices. Currently, there are nearly 1,000 poor and near-poor households in the communes of this area, and young families still cannot buy residential land because the auction price is too high compared to people's income. The National Assembly and the Government need to adjust the price appropriately so that the poor can have housing. The recommendations of voters at previous sessions, the National Assembly Delegation of the province as well as the authorities at all levels need to be resolved to create trust for the people...
On behalf of the provincial National Assembly delegation, Mr. Phan Van Quy and leaders of Quynh Luu district received and explained a number of issues within their authority. The provincial National Assembly delegation took note of the voters' recommendations to synthesize and submit to the National Assembly at the upcoming session.
