Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted celebrates Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20
(Baonghean) -This morning, November 19, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted (Vinh City) held a ceremony to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day.
Last school year, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted achieved many outstanding results in all aspects, especially in training results. 89% of students were ranked as excellent students and 97% of students were ranked as good conduct students. In the national and international competitions for excellent students, 59 students won prizes. Notably, two students, Nguyen Huy Hoang and Nguyen Dinh Hoi, won the highest prizes in the 2011 International Physics Olympiad; 25 teachers were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee for their achievements in nurturing excellent students. The school was ranked among the top in the country in terms of national and international excellent student achievements and high scores in admission to universities. The school was recognized as an excellent school at the provincial level, one teacher was nominated for the Third Class Labor Medal; three teachers were nominated for Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister.
This year's November 20th anniversary is an opportunity for all levels, sectors and organizations to show their concern for the education cause, for generations of students to express their gratitude to teachers, and to honor the achievements of the teaching staff.
On this occasion, 7 teachers of the school were honored to receive certificates of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training, the Provincial People's Committee and the Russian Science and Culture Association. In addition, the school also rewarded teachers who had good teaching hours during the celebration of November 20; and awarded prizes for the contest "Writing about the beloved school".
