Mr. Binh understood and explained more thoroughly. Gradually, everyone grasped the rhyme rules and learned more easily. Now everyone loves learning Thai".

Born in 1962 into a family with a rich cultural tradition in a central village of Khun Tinh Muong (the central area of ​​Quy Hop district today), from childhood, Sam Van Binh was immersed in a cultural environment with a rich tradition built up over hundreds of generations.


Graduated from the Maritime University in the last years of the subsidy period, after a period of hard work and unsuccessful search for a job, Sam Van Binh returned to his hometown and sought a living with the villagers. He used to be present on the red stone hunting grounds, mining ores, digging for gold... participating in groups searching for forest products from Quy Chau, Quy Hop to Con Cuong...


The opportunity came to Sam Van Binh when his hometown Quy Hop was built by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a cultural district. One time when he went to the district library to borrow books, he saw Thai characters for the first time. Those Thai characters were printed in the book "Thai-Vietnamese Customary Laws".Male- "The Law of Custom" by authors Ngo Duc Thinh and Cam Trong, truly moved the deepest part of Sam Van Binh's heart.


Since then, Mr. Binh has devoted all his mind to learning and researching Thai script. In 2006, the Thai script club of Chau Cuong commune was established by the People's Committee of Quy Hop district, and Sam Van Binh was invited to join the club's management board. With his English skills, he taught himself computer skills to prepare teaching materials for the club. To date, the club has opened 5 classes to teach Thai script to nearly 300 students. In addition to teaching Thai script, he has also published many popular articles about Thai script and Thai culture in newspapers, magazines, and journals... Sam Van Binh was also admitted to the Nghe An Folk Literature and Arts Association and participated in writing a number of books about Thai culture.


In 2008, he became a member of the Vietnam Thai Language Preservation and Development Network (VTIK); was invited to participate in the Workshops of the VTIK Network and the Vietnam Thai Studies Program - Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development Sciences. He attended several workshops in Thailand on the Thai ethnic group. He also received an invitation from Ms. Victoria Tauli-Corpuz, Permanent Secretary of the United Nations for Indigenous Affairs; was invited to attend a Workshop in Nicaragua, but because at that time Vietnam and Nicaragua had not established official diplomatic relations, the procedures for the trip were not successful...


Sam Van Binh is also the Head of a provincial-level scientific research project entitled "Research and compilation of teaching and learning materials for the Thai-Lai language".Handin Quy Hop district, Nghe An". A great honor came to him when he was elected as an official delegate to attend the National Congress of Vietnamese Ethnic Minorities.MaleFirst time in Hanoi in 2010.

Recently, he has researched and designed the Thai font ThailaitayR to install and use on computers. From this result, he was invited to participate in a software design project of the Thua Thien Hue Information Technology Center.
