(Baonghean) -One Sunday afternoon, I went to Sen village, Uncle Ho's hometown, to visit the Nguyen Sinh family temple relic site, a historical and cultural relic. I saw a lot of students going towards Nguyen Sinh Nham's temple and into a two-story house next door. I asked them and found out that they came to borrow and read books.

Nguyen Xuan (Sen 3 hamlet) said: “Since this library was built, we and our brothers and sisters from the old Kim Lien village (from Sen 1 hamlet to Sen 4 hamlet) from primary to high school no longer have to buy textbooks. We borrow them at the beginning of the school year and return them at the end of the year. Children from the Nguyen Sinh and Hoang Xuan families, even though they live far away from the village, still receive priority. In addition to popular books, young men and uncles in the commune and surrounding areas also regularly come to this library to read, entertain, and consult. It's really fun, uncle!”

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung visits the library

Following my grandchildren into the library. This is a fairly spacious house, with 6 spacious rooms, the reading room can accommodate about 50 people. Except for a room with a sofa for receiving guests, the entire first floor is divided into a book storage room and a reading room. The house is surrounded by cool shade trees, creating a cool and quiet reading room. Mr. Nguyen Trong Quynh, over 60 years old, from the same commune, is in charge of general management; Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan is the librarian. After learning, we learned that: This library is located on the land of Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nham in the past. In 2008, after Mr. Nguyen Sinh Hung, then Deputy Prime Minister, returned to his hometown to renovate Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nham's church, he built this library for the people. Uncle Nguyen Sinh Hung returned to his hometown and saw that many high school students still lacked textbooks. Not to mention poor households, even well-off families still lacked reference books because they did not know where to buy them. Then the villagers and commune people wanted to have books to learn techniques, business experience and entertainment, but they still did not have any. From there, Uncle Nguyen Sinh Hung had the idea of building a library, then saved money to buy textbooks and mobilized authors and philanthropists to help. The library was built at first to serve poor children. Then the book fund gradually increased enough to lend to children of high school age in the four hamlets of Sen village. Now the target audience is wider. The number of books increased thanks to visitors who came to visit Uncle Ho's hometown, stopped by and saw the library's many humanistic meanings and heard this touching story, they donated books or gave money to buy books.

Recently, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc also donated 30 million VND to supplement the book collection. Many authors donated their works. Thanks to that, in addition to general textbooks, the library now has about 2,000 books of all kinds, from science and technology books, literature and art to reference books. The target audience is also from children to the elderly. Here, there are still valuable book sets that large libraries in Nghe An province do not have, such as the book set "Thousand years of Thang Long" consisting of 4 volumes, over 8,000 pages thick, large format, the whole set costs up to 5.3 million VND."

Sen Village Library is located in the old garden of Uncle Ho's grandfather, very meaningful, has become a cultural highlight, adding to the warmth of humanity.
