Thanh Chuong 1 High School celebrates 50 years of establishment (1961-2011)

(Baonghean) -This morning, November 12, Thanh Chuong 1 High School (Nghe An) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its founding. Attending the ceremony were comrades: Thai Van Hang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors, and many generations of teachers and students of the school.

Thanh Chuong 1 High School was established in 1961 with the name Thanh Chuong High School. After half a century of construction and development, the school has always cared for the cause of cultivating people and training human resources for the homeland. Up to now, the school has trained more than 20,000 high school graduates, nearly 8,000 students passed the university and college entrance exams. The achievements of the school over the past 50 years have been recognized through the awards and noble titles awarded by the Party and the State: Third-class Labor Medal (1996), Second-class (2001), First-class (2008); National Standard School (2004), recognized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as an Excellent Cultural Unit (2010), the Prime Minister's rotating flag (2003-2004) and more than 40 times the Ministry of Education and Training and the Provincial People's Committee awarded emulation flags and certificates of merit; For nearly 20 years, the school has been continuously recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as an excellent advanced unit. The school's Party Cell has achieved the title of exemplary clean and strong Party Cell for 10 consecutive years (2001-2010). The Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has awarded the flag twice. Eight managers and teachers who used to work at the school have been awarded the title of excellent teacher.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Thai Van Hang emphasized: “Promoting the proud achievements of the past 50 years, in the coming time, the school needs to focus on building a team of teachers with solid expertise, enthusiasm and dedication; perfecting the facilities in a synchronous and modern direction; putting the quality of education first, striving to become a heroic labor unit in the renovation period...."

On this occasion, the Prime Minister awarded Certificates of Merit to Thanh Chuong 1 High School and Class 12A for their excellent achievements in the 2010-2011 school year; the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit to Excellent Grassroots Cultural Units; the Minister of Education and Training awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 teachers; and the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 individuals for their excellent achievements in the past school year.
