(Baonghean.vn) - On December 31, 2011, in Vinh City, ASEM Vietnam International English Center held the 2011 Year-end Ceremony. Attending were representatives of the Department of Education and Training, representatives of Vinh City Youth Union, universities and colleges in Nghe An province and over 40 teachers and staff of ASEM Vietnam.

Attending were representatives of the Department of Education and Training, representatives of Vinh City Youth Union, universities and colleges in Nghe An province and over 40 teachers and staff of ASEM Vietnam.

Speaking at the Conference, the representative of the Department of Education and Training acknowledged and highly appreciated the success of ASEM Vietnam. With a team of 40 teachers who are PhDs, Masters and Bachelors majoring in English, in 2011, ASEM Vietnam trained 256 classes with over 3,000 students in English programs for preschoolers, children, adults, academic English programs: TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC... ASEM Vietnam is increasingly affirming its position as a prestigious English training center in the province.

In addition, every year, ASEM Vietnam always offers scholarships to students of SOS Children's Village Vinh, and awards valuable scholarships to excellent students with difficult circumstances at universities and colleges in the area. In addition, to encourage young people to improve their knowledge and use English in communication, ASEM Vietnam coordinates and sponsors English speaking clubs at high schools such as Phan Boi Chau High School, Ha Huy Tap High School, etc. ASEM Vietnam also successfully organized a summer study abroad program in Singapore for 16 students.

In 2012, ASEM Vietnam plans to enroll and train over 4,000 students (equivalent to 310 classes), enroll about 50 students in summer camp. For charity work, helping poor children overcome difficulties, the Center continues to increase the number of scholarships for children of SOS Children's Village, poor students, students who have won high prizes in scientific research and have excellent academic achievements.

At the Conference, representatives of the Department of Education and Training and the ASEM Vietnam Board of Directors presented awards to teachers with high achievements in the center's excellent teacher competition and awarded the title of Teacher and staff with excellent performance in 2011.
