(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2012, Ho Sy Hoa and Tran Thi Thu Huong (Vietnamese students studying in France) representing the Nghe Tinh Association in France organized a trip back to their homeland, donating more than 20 million VND to 50 students with especially difficult circumstances at Primary School 1, Primary School 2 and Secondary School in Thach Ngan commune, Con Cuong district, Nghe An province.
This is the money the children save from their daily expenses to give to disadvantaged children who were affected by flash floods in 2011, to buy books and school supplies.
At the gift-giving ceremony, the representative of the Nghe Tinh Association in France shared the difficulties of the teachers and students of the schools in general and the students in particularly difficult circumstances in particular, and at the same time hoped that the teachers and students would overcome all difficulties and strive to teach well and study well, to build their homeland more and more prosperous.

When receiving gifts from the students in France (each gift worth 400,000 VND), Em Luong Quang Dung (5C grade student, Primary School 1 - Thach Ngan commune) was very touched and extremely grateful for the kindness and gratitude of the students studying in France. Dung is one of the students whose family is in difficult circumstances, his parents are sick, in addition to studying, he has to go out every day to collect bamboo shoots and firewood to help his family, but he still tries to study well. Lo Thi Loi (2A grade student) lost her father, her mother raised 3 children alone, the flash flood in 2011 washed away the house and crops of her family. She said: "If there was no sharing and help from the community, from the students, my family would not have Tet, I thank you very much"...
Student Ho Si Hoa (from Con Cuong District, currently studying in France) said: "The Nghe Tinh Association in France has been operating for 2 years, with 2 main contents: Mobilizing Vietnamese people in France to support funds to send back to their homeland to help families affected by natural disasters, organizing seminars to inspire in the summer, to provide information on learning needs for Vietnamese students in other countries.
The noble and meaningful gesture of the students studying in France has helped the disadvantaged children in Thach Ngan commune, Con Cuong district, where the flood occurred in 2011, have a warm and happy Tet, giving them more confidence and determination to strive, overcome difficulties, and study better.
