Eye Island: Defense drill

(Baonghean)On December 5th, as part of the 2011 combat readiness training mission of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command, Mat Island organized an island defense exercise.

During this exercise, the officers and soldiers of Mat Island carried out three tasks: transitioning from a regular to a heightened state of combat readiness; organizing combat preparations; and conducting combat operations.

The exercise served as a basis for the Nghe An Provincial Military Command to assess the training level and capabilities of its officers and soldiers, and to develop and adjust defensive combat plans to suit the situation and capabilities of the island. It also provided an opportunity to enhance awareness, responsibility, and organizational and command skills in all aspects for the island's commanders, officers, and soldiers regarding combat readiness and national defense.

The exercise was a great success, ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment, and was highly appreciated by the Military Command.
